INTRODUCE

  • Antonella NARDI | UniMC

Departing from Bhatia's (2004, 2017) idea of genre colonies and interdiscursivity (=Relations between genres across situation types), on the one hand, and generic integrity (aspects binding texts together to a genre), it will be shown how relations between texts from different disciplines may be analysed in order to assess forces of influence on standardisation in and across disciplinary domains. Theories on the emergence of genres and conventions from sociological System Theory will also be included. Examples will be mainly from the field of law and business.
