The development of the internet over the last 30 years technologically as well as in the general perception of the medium in society means that municipal and state authorities are today in principal always present here. This may be in the form of e-government, i.e., the possibility of carrying out administrative tasks via the internet and of informing citizens about their rights, but also as an instance of Relation and Reputation Management towards citizens. In my presentation, I will have a look at administrative websites with a view to the functions they carry out. In this context, focus will be upon presenting methods that are useful in order to study the impact of non-verbal communication to conveying legal knowledge with different levels of complexity.
