The purpose of the seminar is to introduce the students to the Knowledge Communication Approach as developed at Aarhus University. This approach studies expert discourse with a focus upon the ways in which the structure and development process of expert knowledge is visible in the communicative products of such experts. Concepts like knowledge structure, knowledge development and knowledge asymmetry are central in the approach. The approach is thus oriented towards describing meaning as a dynamic concept and the development of such meaning from the point of view of human knowledge as an individual and social concept.
